French startup previews a fantastic Porsche 928 restomod

Few vehicles deserve costly restoration as much as the legendary Porsche 928 does, and Nardonne Automotive is willing to accommodate – as long as you are prepared to wait until 2024.

The car, which debuted at the recent Milan Design Week, is officially considered the company’s very first project, but a simple look at it suggests the team is quite experienced. There are giant GTS-style rear fender flares, 18-inch wheels sporting a semi-closed design, and rather modern headlights.

Powering the modern interpretation of the 928 is a naturally aspirated V8 rated at 400 PS (395 hp / 295 kW), which is 50 horsepower above any 928 ever produced. A six-speed manual transmission (up from five speeds in the OEM version) drives the rear wheels. There is an LSD on board, performance brakes, electronic shock absorbers and power steering.

Rounding off the impressive image is an all-new, minimalistic interior draped in Foglizzo leather and artificial suede.

Pre-orders will be taken at the Goodwood Festival of Speed starting on June 23. The deliveries are planned for 2024.
