Netherlands-based coachbuilder Van Thull Development has unveiled its latest project, a Shooting Brake conversion of the Porsche 986 Boxster.
The work is still far from finished, but the photos still provide a fairly good idea of what to expect. The roadster looks quite unusual and no longer bears much resemblance to the original. The front and the rear end are both styled after different generations of Porsche 911. Specifically, the nose seems obviously inspired by the 911 GT3 (997), and the tail end is typical 991.
The sloppy roofline is perhaps our main gripe at the moment. Here’s hoping Van Thull Development gradually improves the silhouette of its Boxster Shooting Brake and adjusts the pillar heights until they work visually.
