Autofarm, a company specializing in Porsche restoration and servicing, said it would soon begin work on a most compelling exemplar, the famous Porsche 911 Carrera R.S 27 also known as the Trinidad RS.
Autofarm has found a client who is willing to sponsor the large-scale restoration project and purchase the car once it’s complete. The company is unwilling to disclose any names or monetary amounts involved, however. You may track the progress of the job by visiting the Autofarm official website often.
This particular Porsche Carrera R.S 27 rolled off the conveyor belt in 1973 as part of a small batch of just 1,590 right-hand-drive vehicles. It had an eventful history of being taken to a war conflict in the Middle East, losing its owner there, and eventually sinking in the Caribbean Sea.
You’d think that would be the end of it – and be wrong. After many years spent underwater, it was discovered, lifted and refurbished. It was then that it received its nickname of ‘Trinidad RS’.
The Porsche Carrera R.S 27 Trinidad RS rightfully counts among the most sought-after collector’s pieces in the world.
