Gemballa pushes out another Mirage GT supercar

Around a decade ago, German tuner Gemballa announced a strictly limited supercar series based on the Porsche Carrera GT, promising unique looks along with a performance upgrade. The company has plans for only 25 Mirage GT vehicles, so let us have a closer look at the one it released a few days ago.

According to Gemballa, each car takes more than 1,000 hours of painstaking work to produce. On the outside, changes begin with a custom front bumper and ventilated hood. The headlights are now encased in vivid luminescent yellow rings, a design decision reflected in numerous other yellow highlights on the car body and brake calipers.

The doors are now made of carbon fiber, the side skirts are notably lower, and there is a wide roof scoop for additional engine cooling. The car rides on a set of Gemballa alloys.

Perhaps the most visually appealing part of the Gemballa Mirage GT that also immediately sets it apart from the Porsche Carrera GT is its rear end. There is a fixed rear wing, a bulky bumper, quad exhaust finishers, and a yellow engine bay cover.

The interior of the car uses generous amounts of fine leather and Alcantara.

Last but decidedly not least, Gemballa offers an upgrade for the stock V10 that squeezes it for 680 hp (507 kW).
