Porsche Cayenne: official debut

At the private event in Stuttgart, the long-awaited premiere of the third generation Porsche Cayenne was held. The SUV retained the proportions of the previous model and received a design in the styling of the new Porsche Panamera.

We have already talked about the exterior of the luxury crossover we already talked and now, finally, the information about the engine scale of the novelty became known. At the initial stage of sales, the Porsche Cayenne will be offered with two new six-cylinder units. One of them is a 340-hp 3.0-liter engine, combined with an eight-band automatic transmission. The drive of this version is four wheel. The acceleration from the place to 100 km/h with optional set Sport Chrono takes 5.9 seconds.

The second – 2.9-liter engine with 440 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, which will be equipped with a modification of the Porsche Cayenne S. With this engine, the maximum speed of the car will be 265 km/h, and acceleration to the first "hundred" will take 4.9 seconds. Over time, the range of power units will be expanded.

The SUV turned out with the following dimensions: length - 4 918 mm (+63 mm), width - 1 983 mm (+44 mm), height - 1 696 mm (-9mm), and the wheelbase remained the same size -2 895 mm. To all, the volume of the luggage compartment became larger by 100 liters. Now it reaches 700 liters.

For the first time in history, the SUV received various-sized tires and a rear-wheel steering system, which increases the stability and maneuverability of the car. With it can be boasted the models 911 and Panamera.

There also have been changes in the interior of the Porsche Cayenne 2018 model year. Already in the basic version, the car is equipped with LED headlights, an all-wheel drive system, a telephone module with a Wi-Fi access point, a parking assistance system with front and rear sensors and many other equipment.

In Europe, the new Porsche Cayenne is already available for order. The minimum cost of an off-road car makes 74 828 euros.
