Car spotters have nabbed a camouflaged Porsche Cayenne being tested next to its coupe-like counterpart. It is possible that both debut in the coming months.
Neither car had too much disguise on, but what little was there did a good job concealing the most interesting bits. For instance, stickers around the headlights did a solid job masking their actual shape, and only some air intakes in the front bumper are real.
Compared to the current version (see video), the facelift has one big design change, and that is the bumper-mounted license plate in the back. The original Cayenne had it on the tailgate. Overall, this modification makes the regular Cayenne SUV look more like its coupe cousin.
We would fully expect both models to debut in the fall, but the date remains to be announced.
In the spring this year, spies made it into the interior of the car. Apparently, it will be designed with the same styling cues as the latest Porsche 911. As for the powertrains, major changes are unlikely, but slight power boosts for the 2.9-liter six-pot, the 4.0-liter V8 and the hybrid system are par for the course.
