The German luxury car maker Porsche has published a few new photos depicting its latest hybrid-powered CUV, the Cayenne E-Hybrid. The vehicle shall enjoy its official premiere before the end of the year. In the meantime, it has completed its trip to the chilly Canada and is now running further road tests in the desert expanses of South Africa.
According to the manufacturer, the new Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid shares its hybrid unit with the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid. Both get a 3,2-liter, bi-turbo V6 gasoline engine partnered with an electric motor for 462hp and 700 Nm total output. This setup should use up around 3,5 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers traveled (~80 mpg for our British readers; 67 mpg for those from the U.S.).
In terms of body design, the new Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is going to be almost completely identical to its ICE counterpart.
