Porsche just announced that is has been testing an innovative all-wheel drive system – which is based on four electric engines mounted one per wheel – for two winters already.
Attaching a motor to every wheel ensures that the car delivers the maximum possible amount of torque to the ground at all times, thus maximizing the off-road performance.
Porsche added that the tech would soon arrive on the market in a new production car, but did not specify which one. One of the likeliest candidates is the Porsche Macan depicted here.
