Porsche is expanding its presence in the gaming realm with a new collab having nothing to do with racing sims for a change. The company has designed a new skin for D.Va of Overwatch 2 inspired by its upcoming Macan EV, as well as a number of brand-inspired accessories.
In keeping with the lore of the game, D.Va is a female pro gamer controlling a mecha equipped with assorted automatic weaponry for close-range combat. The new skin outfits her with Macan-style head- and taillights, a new “Porsche Turbonite” logo, vivid yellow accents matching Porsche’s suspension and brake color, imitated exhaust tips at the shoulders and diamond décor all inspired by the cabin trim. D.VA can also wear matching jacket and gloves painted in one of Porsche’s most iconic colors.
To promote its partnership with Blizzard, the Stuttgart automaker has also built a life-size replica of the mecha suit that it will be exhibiting at assorted events throughout the year.
Last but not least, Porsche has teased another Overwatch 2 skin. There are still no details, but the telltale Martini stripes, the dual shark fins and the number 22 make us believe that it is inspired by the legendary Porsche 917 KH that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans back in 1971.
