Car manufacturer Porsche is currently running extensive road tests of its facelifted Macan SUV. The car has been set to trials on gravel, asphalt, off-road terrain, and even 3,400 meters (over 10,000 feet) above sea level. Porsche has decided to reveal some of the test footage for us to watch and be impressed.
There is little known about the upcoming Porsche Macan update. The vehicle will likely get a light facelift, complete with a new multimedia and dashboard, and weigh less owing to extended use of aluminum and other light alloys.
According to official sources, the refreshed Macan series is going to receive a neat performance boost. The base trim level will ship with a 300-horsepower (224-kW) engine, which is 50 hp or 37 kW better than before. The hi-end version is going to get 360 hp / 268 kW (up 20 hp / 15 kW). The top-spec Macan Turbo will command 410 hp / 306 kW (up 40 hp / 30 kW).
The impending Porsche Macan update will not contain any hybrid or diesel options.
The sport utility vehicle will debut in late July.
