Porsche Panamera gains power and equipment heading into 2021

Porsche has unveiled the 2021 Panamera facelift, barely touching its exterior but revising engine range and equipment.

With its 4.0-liter V8 bolstered to deliver 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW), the Turbo S is the flagship spec now. It snaps from standstill to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in breezy 3.1 seconds and doesn’t hit the speed ceiling until 315 km/h (195.7 mph).

The old 2.9-liter V6 yields its place to a new three-liter unit with the same power rating: 330 PS (325 hp / 242 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. Improvements made their way into the Panamera GTS as well, its V8 now producing 480 PS (473 hp, or 353 kW). The torque stays unchanged at 620 Nm (457 lb-ft).

A new electrified version joins the range under the name of 4S E-Hybrid. It utilizes a 2.9-liter twin-turbo engine (440 PS / 434 hp / 323 kW) and an electric motor (136 PS / 134 hp / 100 kW). Their cumulative power amounts to 560 PS (552 hp / 412 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft).

You can tell the facelifted Panamera from its older version by the larger air intakes in the front bumper, as well as redesigned brake lights and LED strip. From the technical point of view, the sports car receives lane control and voice control support for the infotainment system.
