Porsche confirms the Panamera Hybrid

Porsche has officially commented on the alleged spy shots of the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. The car is indeed coming up and packs more engine thrust than ever – more than even the 911 GT2 RS with its 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW). Our guess is 760 PS (750 hp / 559 kW).

Thomas Friemuth, one of the top managers of the marque, said the Turbo S E-Hybrid would debut “in a few weeks or months”. He added that the new sedans and liftbacks would come equipped with the standard electric motor rated at 136 PS (134 hp / 100 kW).

He also admitted that the superhybrid would not be significantly faster than the regular Turbo S model (see the gallery and the video) due to the added traction battery weight.
