The next generation of the Porsche Panamera will not debut until late 2023, but reporters from Autocar and Car&Driver have already test-driven the liftback and posted some of its specifications online. Apparently, we should be looking forward to more performance and speed than ever.
In its most basic form, the car utilizes a 2.9-liter V8 in tandem with an eight-speed AT. The output will exceed 350 PS (345 hp / 257 kW) and surpass that of the current base spec (see video). Accelerating from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) will take 5.2 seconds.
The top spec at launch will be Turbo E-Hybrid. It will utilize an improved 4.0-liter V8 with 680 PS (671 hp / 500 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. The tests suggest that it launches in 3.1 seconds and has around 85 km (53 miles) of all-electric range.
Later on, Porsche intends to add an even more powerful Panamera spec for the list, expected to be around 760 PS (750 hp / 560 kW) strong.
The first deliveries are planned for early 2024.
