The third generation of the Porsche Panamera will be available exclusively as a liftback with no Sport Turismo option, Automotive News Europe reports. The apparent reason is insufficient market interest.
The United States and China are the two main markets for the Panamera, but the wagon body style is not particularly popular in either country right now. Seeing this, Porsche decided to stop offering the Sport Turismo version.
The Panamera estate was introduced only six years ago – a year after the second generation went on sale. The wagon is slightly taller than the liftback and benefits from 20 liters (0.7 cubic feet) of extra trunk space, but otherwise has the same tech as the liftback.
