The Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid has set new world records at the Losail International Circuit (Lusail, Qatar), Kyalami (Gauteng province, South Africa), Yas Marina (Abu-Dhabi, UAE), and three more circuits in India, UAE and Bahrain. All high scores have been recorded under the Premium 4-Door Vehicle competition category.
In its mass-produced version, the sporty hatchback comes powered by a hybrid drivetrain, which consists of a 4.0L V8 turbo engine capable of 680 hp (507 kW) and an electric motor. The car makes it to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 3.5 seconds and ultimately goes beyond 300 km/h (186 mph).
The Panamera hybrid isn’t the only record-breaking vehicle around, though. A top-of-the-line Honda Civic has recently set five new records at famous European circuits in the Front-Driven Production Vehicle category.
