Porsche’s first all-electric car – the Taycan – has caused quite a stir in the automotive world, whether by that you mean the customers or the engineers from rivaling companies. Audi has already unveiled the e-tron GT Concept based on the Taycan chassis and tech; today, Lamborghini expressed interest in doing something similar.
The Italian company came out with the sedan/saloon concept called Estoque (see the gallery) in 2008, but never brought it to fruition. Now, it seriously considers the viability of producing the Estoque as an all-electric, four-door car with the Taycan tech at its heart.
If found viable, the car will likely accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) and have a range bordering on 600 km (373 miles). Then again, the project is still at the discussion stage, so speculating would be premature at best. The company says it will endeavor to reach the final decision no later than next year, and plan the sales start for mid-2020s.
In a recent news, Lambo has unveiled its first mass-produced hybrid vehicle, the Sian, and pledged to pass the same tech on to the Urus.
