For the first time since 1997, Porsche has released an NFL Superbowl commercial, showcasing its all-electric Taycan coupe in a number of chase scenes.
The video follows a stolen Taycan as it is chased by Porsche’s icons from the past – a 911 GT2 RS, a 918 Spyder, a Porsche 917 K, and even a 218 Standard, which is a diesel-powered tractor. It also provides a glimpse at the much anticipated, yet still not officially introduced 911.992 GT3.
According to CEO Porsche North America Klaus Zellmer, all sports cars depicted in the footage share the same brand values, and the Taycan EV proudly carries Porsche DNA inside, despite being an electric car.
