Porsche has confirmed that it planned to launch the off-road version of its Taycan EV later in the year. No specific date has been provided.
The newcomer mimics the design of the Mission E Cross Turismo Concept from two years ago, which you can see in our gallery and the video here. From the technical point of view, it will be identical to the sedan/saloon it is based upon.
Later on, the lineup will expand to include an estate/wagon called Taycan Sport Turismo.
Porsche will be focusing on electrified and all-electric car production in the coming four years, with planned investment estimated at €10 billion. The German luxury sports car manufacturer hopes that EV sales make up 50% of its total sales by mid-2020s.
