The all-electric SUV called “Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo” debuted as a concept in the spring of 2018 and was approved for production half a year after that. Today, the first spy video showing a pre-production copy of the SUV surfaced online.
The short vid follows the car along a German autobahn. It can be seen wearing heavy disguise on its rear end. Still, we’d expect it to ship with the same taillight design as its sedan/saloon counterpart.
Powertrain choices will also likely stay the same. A single-engine, RWD spec is also possible because the Taycan has recently received such a version in China.
The reveal date remains unknown and might as well be later this year. The estate/wagon body style will be added to the lineup later; Porsche calls it “Taycan Sport Turismo”. The car had been originally scheduled for simultaneous premiere with the Cross Turismo, but it has been a while since we heard last about that arrangement.
