The Porsche Taycan, which only debuted last September, is already preparing to a refresh. Starting this October, the EV will come in a number of new paint options, with a more powerful charging device and some other options.
The main highlight comes in the form of Functions on Demand, or FoD for short. The system enables Porsche drivers to buy and download additional smart features for their cars over the air. This includes lane control, power steering, remaining range control and InnoDrive (intelligent transmission modes). Customers can choose between buying the features outright or subscribing to them on a temporary basis.
Further novelties include a color HUD, a 22kW charger, and Smartlift Suspension Control that lets the sports car automatically lift its air-ride suspension upon detecting bumps ahead.
Once updated, the Taycan Turbo S will become marginally faster than its predecessor, going 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) in just 9.6 seconds instead of 9.8s.
