Porsche has made an entry in the Guinness Book for the longest controlled drift session in history. Its Taycan EV has made 42 kilometers in 55 minutes skidding sideways.
The record-breaking run was performed at a racetrack fitted with GPS sensors and turn sensors. The car itself had a camera mounted on its roof that recorded the entire 210 laps.
A single-motor Porsche Taycan was used for the race. Its technical specs aren’t named, but the production model has 408 PS (402 hp / 300 kW) at its disposal, although a more powerful 476-PS (469-hp, 350-kW) variant is also available.
