It’s not like we haven’t already seen the new Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo wagon running around almost naked, but seeing it again on official pics is still welcome – and there’s an official launch date, too.
Just like the Porsche Mission E Concept evolved into the Taycan EV of today, so did the slightly raised Mission E Cross Turismo wagon from the Geneva show of three years ago become a production car. Porsche had originally expected to ship it in a years’ time, then postponed the launch until 2020, and is now saying that the reveal is around weight weeks ago. This means late March or early April.
Shipments should begin in summer with Europe markets likely to be the first to get the family hauler. Even in its most basic from, the car may ship with a dual-motor AWD system, forgoing the single-motor spec the sedan has.
