Porsche has rolled out a free software update for the Taycan EV that should give it a few new intelligent features along with improved sprint times – but you will have to visit a dealership.
The Turbo S in particular can now hit 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.6 seconds instead of 9.8. All cars with adaptive air-ride suspension can now remember all the bumps and potholes on familiar routes and lift the suspension in advance to soften the impact.
The upgrade also lets Taycan owners to get smartphone notifications when the charging is complete. Finally, the satellite navigation software now displays more info than before.
Customers who want the update will have to visit a dealership, as it is not available over the air.
