The all-electric Porsche Taycan will soon be available in the USA in a $131,400+ “GTS” version, which is the automaker’s designation for pure driver’s cars. Curiously enough, the estate-shaped Sport Turismo is included, too.
Compared to the regular Cross Turismo wagon, the Sport Turismo has 20 mm (0.8”) less ground clearance, no fake off-road body trim, and a body-matched rear spoiler.
The GTS uses a dual electric motor setup that generates around 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW) with launch control activated. Regardless of the body style, the cars need 3.5 seconds to sprint from zero to 60 miles per hour (97 km/h). The battery is rated at 93.4 kilowatt-hours – the largest volume available in the lineup.
In turn, the sedan-bodied Taycan GTS sports darkened headlights, a unique front bumper, kick plates, a black rear diffuser, larger brake rotors, and 20-inch Taycan Turbo S Aero Design wheels (buyers can opt for a larger diameter, too). As expected, the suspension gets some improvements and the electric powertrain develops a voice of its own – imitated, of course.
Prices in the USA begin at $131,400.
