Porsche rolls out updates for the entire Taycan EV family, but not over the air

According to Porsche, all Taycan cars both shipped to dealerships and already sold to customers can now apply for a major software upgrade regardless of their body style and trim level.

The infotainment system gets a revised UI and a voice assistant, as well as wireless Android Auto connectivity. Elsewhere, the parking assist feature is now more intelligent and the sat-nav system can now filter charging stations along the way according to their power.

In Normal and Range drive modes, all dual-motor Taycan EVs can now deactivate their front motor completely for improved power efficiency. Regenerative braking also yields better results now.

Last but not least, hands-free doors and tailgate can now be unlocked on all cars visiting dealerships. All updates are free, but require visiting a Porsche service outlet near you because remote installation is not supported.
