What Car reporters Neil Winn and Doug Revolta claim they visited 14 countries within 24 hours driving a Porsche Taycan, surpassing the planned target of 13 countries and setting a new high score.
The crew intended to demonstrate to everyone how good electric vehicles were for long journeys across Europe. The initial goal was to visit 13 countries, but it proved easier than expected. In total, the battery car covered 1,930 kilometers (1,199 miles) moving at an average speed of 80.3 km/h (49.9 miles per hour). Note that the calculated average included seven stops at charging stations, so the actual speed was higher most of the time.
Examples of earlier records set by the Taycan EV include an indoor speed record and a longest e-drift record (see video). It also won the first place at the illegal Cannonball Run race across the North America.
