With the launch of the Cayenne, Macan and Taycan Cross Turismo, Porsche seems determined to prove it can go off the grid when you need it to. With a new roof tent option, it actually makes sense.
The accessory is sold by Porsche Tequipment, the division of the German sports car maker dedicated to original aftermarket options and updates. It costs €4,980 and is compatible with the Taycan Cross Turismo, but not the GT, Cabriolet and Targa versions.
The tent rests in a large hard case on the roof and can be unfolded whenever the car is stationary. It measures 210 cm long and 130 cm wide (82 x 50.8 inches). A high-density foam mattress is included for two adult people to sleep in comfort.
