A freshly filmed spy vid shows a still-unannounced flagship version of the Porsche Taycan in action on the Nürburgring. Unofficial reports are already trickling in that the German electric saloon has beaten the record held by the Tesla Model S Plaid.
Per Motor1, the new Taycan Turbo GT (name unconfirmed) managed to surpass the American EV by a whole lot, coming closer to the lap time of the Rimac Nevera. In case you forgot, the Croatian hypercar lapped up the North Loop in 7 minutes 5.298 seconds. The Model S Plaid was 20 seconds slower than that, but still the best in class.
In all likelihood, the automaker will unveil the new Taycan flagship simultaneously with the car’s 2024MY facelift. A high-end aero kit and three electric motors jointly rated above 1,000 horsepower (750 kilowatts) are high on our list of expectations.
