The media in Germany are reporting a significant drop in the production rates of Porsche’s all-electric firstborn, the Taycan.
While not officially confirmed by the carmaker itself yet, the Zuffenhausen factory where the Taycan is being made has apparently switched to single-shift operation. Aside from the whole EV market slowing down, the Taycan in particular showed poor sales in the first half of 2024, halving the numbers compared to the same period in 2023.
That said, the facelift that Porsche carried out in February may boost the sales for the remainder of the year.
