North American car manufacturer Ram has expanded its Ram 2500 HD / 3500 HD line to incorporate a luxury trim called the Laramie Longhorn Edition. The company says the new models should convey the atmosphere of the southwestern United States.
On the outside, both vehicles sports new, bulky bumpers and front fascia details coated with chrome. Options include bumpers painted brown, wheel arch extensions and under shields.
The interior space of the new luxury trim features warm colors and natural finishing materials. Fine leather and occasional natural wood inserts can be found on the seats, door panels and dashboard.
The Laramie Longhorn Edition Ram 2500 HD and 3500 HD both ship with a 6.4L V8 gasoline engine rated at 416 hp (310 kW) and a 6.7L diesel unit capable of 406 hp (303 kW) and an impressive 1,356 Nm (1,000 lbft). Both can be ordered with either a six- or an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Prices will be announced later.
