Ram 1500 “Built to Serve” series dedicates itself to the U.S. Navy

The Ram 1500 Built to Serve pickup truck series celebrates the deeds of the U.S. Army’s five main branches and should hit 9,000 production units before November 2020. The Gator and Diamond Black versions dedicated to the land troops are already out, and the nautical edition joins them today in Ceramic Gray and Patriot Blue.

Each car takes advantage of LED-based lighting and the complete Off-Road Group Package, which includes 20-inch dark grey aluminum wheels, Falken Wildpeak 275/55 tires, a full-size spare wheel, an electronic rear axle lock, and towing hooks. It also features a hill descend assist, heavy-duty shock absorbers, front suspension guards, steering and transmission guards, and fuel tank plating.

From the aesthetic perspective, the specialized Ram 1500 sports a matte front grille, bumpers, headlight bezels, and running boards. Its exhaust tips measure 4 inches (102mm) in diameter, and there are U.S. flags along with special badges on both sides. The cabin boasts a black trim with blue stitching.

Customers can choose from three available powertrains: 3.6-liter V6 (gas, 309 hp / 230 kW, 365 Nm / 270 lb-ft), 5.7-liter V8 (gas, 400 hp / 298 kW, 556 Nm / 410 lb-ft), and 3.0-liter V6 (turbo diesel, 264 hp / 197 kW, 651 Nm / 480 lb-ft). All three specs ship with eight-speed automatic transmission and AWD only.

The special edition comes based on the Big Horn trim, which starts from U.S. $42,990, and tops that amount by at least $2,795.
