U.S.-made Ram 1500 goes shopping for upgrades in Europe

German tuner TR-Carstyling has launched a range of options and accessories for the Ram 1500 pickup. Don’t let the ‘styling’ bit mislead you: suspension and powertrain are also on the list for improvement.

Depicted here is a 2020 Ram 1500 Limited and a last year’s Ram 1500 Laramie outfitted with the factory Sport Appearance Package. Both sport faux fender flares installed on top of the stock ones so as not to cut the car body in a permanent fashion. Lower grilles house LED-based DRLs, truck beds benefit from covers, and boring standard wheels make way for La Chanti LC-OF10 20-inch ones painted black.

For the cabin, TR-Carstyling offers Alcantara-trimmed parts such as the steering wheel and the door panels. Stock air suspension gains Fox shock absorbers, and the ride height gets a sizeable boost (150mm / 6” for the 2020MY truck, 100mm / 4” for the other one).

Rounding off the list is an engine upgrade from the original 401 hp / 300 kW and 556 Nm / 410 lb-ft of torque to 431 hp / 321 kW and 600 Nm / 443 lb-ft. The kit includes a cold air intake system, a Borla performance exhaust system and an ECU tune.
