Remember when Hennessey Performance unveiled its take on the Ram 1500 TRX truck named ‘Mammoth’ a couple of months ago? Well, the car has been turned into a seven-seat SUV with monstrous amounts of power.
The roof now stretches as far as the tailgate, with new c-pillars rising from the brake lights to support it. A third seat row is said to be spacious and comfortable with plenty of trunk space behind it, but the tuner does not have any photos to prove it so far.
As per the tradition, Hennessey just couldn’t leave things alone after some body reshaping. It has proceeded to bolster the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 from its stock 712 PS (702 hp / 523 kW) to 1,026 PS (1,012 hp / 754 kW). The torque simultaneously went from 881 Nm (650 lb-ft) to 1,313 Nm (969 lb-ft).
Upgraded like this, the Hennessey Mammoth 1000 SUV needs a trifling 3.2 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill and covers a quarter of a mile in 11.4 seconds.
The only downside of the project is the asking price, which starts from U.S. $375,000 before all taxes and shipment fees. Only 20 units will be made.
