Ram 1500 pickup gets treated to a ‘Rugged Luxury’ aesthetic

It is common knowledge that the Ram 1500 TRX has enough off-road prowess to only get stuck where no other vehicle can come to its rescue. If, however, you want something even more special, consider a new offer from Tuscany Motor Company.

The tuner takes Big Horn and Laramie-spec pickups and turns them into something called the Badlander, a truck following the aesthetic of ‘rugged luxury’. Perhaps to reflect that fact, the majority of body trim pieces come finished in body-matching white, rather than utilitarian black.

In terms of practicality, buyers get Fox Racing shocks and coilovers along with larger wheels sized 20 or 22 inches in diameter (you choose). 37-inch BFGoodrich T/A KM3 tires ensure adequate overlanding performance, and the ride height gains 150 mm (6 inches) from these mods alone. The on-board electronics, including the tire pressure sensor and the odometer, is calibrated to ensure proper operation with larger wheels.

Interior highlights include Badlander leather seats and a custom dashboard. Premium leather covers the door panels as well, the glass is tinted all around, and the running boards are automatic.

Things stay stock under the hood, unless you count a new performance exhaust system. The standard 5.7-liter V8 still churns out its usual 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW) and 556 Nm (410 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels.

According to Tuscany Motor Company, pricing will depend on the trim level of the Ram 1500 donor car, so you will need to contact them directly for details.
