Ram posts an image of its very first electric truck

Ram has shared another photo of its upcoming 1500 Revolution truck, adding that the premiere date will be postponed.

Originally slated to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 17, 2022, the 1500 Revolution is now set to attend the CES show on January 5, 2023. The company did not provide any reasons for the delay.

The new teaser image allows us to assess the overall proportions of the truck and its individual design highlights. For example, there are recognizable creases on the front fenders and the upper bed walls, cameras instead of side mirrors, and an illuminated brand logo on the doors.

It is assumed that the pickup will utilize the body-on-frame architecture known as STLA Frame. Stellantis said before that it would enable outfitting vehicles with batteries sized up to 200 kilowatt-hours, resulting in driving ranges up to 500 miles (805 kilometers). Aside from that, the company promised ‘exclusive state-of-the-art technologies’ without delving into any detail.

When it reaches the market, the Ram 1500 Revolution will have to compete against the already selling Chevrolet Silverado EV and Ford F-150 Lightning. It is worth mentioning that GMC also has an electric truck on its lineup called the Sierra EV, but that one is marketed as a premium travel vehicle and doesn’t appear to directly compete with the trio mentioned above.
