Ram 1500 gets transformed into an 850-PS Super Truck

U.S.-based tuning shop Apocalypse Manufacturing has made a name for itself building hardcore trucks looking like they can survive the end of the world, and this Super Truck is its latest creation.

The vehicle is essentially the same as the Juggernaut from the last year, just lacking its third axle and some of the bodywork. It is still a Ram 1500 underneath the mascara, but boosted to supercar levels of performance.

Judging by the photos, it looks like only the roof and the tailgate remain stock. Even the doors are new, and the front end looks particularly badass with its leering grille, massive vertical bars and jacked-up fender flares. The tuner team clearly knows what it is doing, because the styling is officially called ‘ostentatiously barbarian’.

That said, the cut-out wheel arches are the way they are due to the sheer suspension travel, and the fact that those 22-inch aftermarket rims in 40-inch off-road rubber need personal space. As for the interior, it enjoys an overhaul in quilted leather.

The stock Ram 1500 TRX packs a 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 engine rated at 712 PS (702 hp / 524 kW). The Apocalypse Super Truck tops that number with 850 PS (838 hp / 625 kW) heading for the wheels. The on-board electronic system supports five drive extreme modes for fast driving on asphalt and sand, drag racing and overlanding (with Dirt and Rock modes).
