The team over at YouTube channel Triple F Collection has upped the ante again with a dangerous stunt involving a giant pickup truck launching itself over a Tesla Model S.
The same pickup truck required $20,000 in maintenance last year after a similar stunt culminated in a hard landing. The front end, including the suspension, the radiators and the strut braces, has suffered significant damage back then.
Other people would back down from the challenge, but not Triple F Collection. They reshaped the jump ramp and tried again this week. An error would cost them plenty, considering that they parked a Model S sedan in the gap. Fortunately for everyone involved, though, the truck was able to do a clean jump and land on the other side of the gap.
You may have noticed that, while the stock Ram TRX has two axles, the vehicle in the video has three. That’s because it was tuned by Apocalypse Manufacturing and given a third driven axle. The engine was left alone, which is not necessarily a bad thing because it’s a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 capable of 712 PS (702 hp / 524 kW) without any aftermarket mods.
