Ram sends off the 1500 TRX with a Final Edition

The mighty Ram 1500 TRX will be leaving the assembly lines later this year. According to the manufacturer, the production of the standard 1500 TRX model (see video) will end in December and pre-orders will open for a version called Final Edition.

In all likelihood, the U.S. automaker had to discontinue the 712-PS (702-hp / 524-kW) pickup truck after Dodge wrapped up Charger and Challenger production based on the same engine. In 2024, the company plans to produce 4,000 Final Edition trucks priced from $117,625 each.

Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis hinted that ‘it is not the end of the story’, but did not explain what he meant. Perhaps a new generation is in the works based on a smaller electrified engine.

Compared to the standard truck, the Final Edition boasts purely stylistic retouches like a different exterior finish, special wheels, lots of carbon-fiber bits in the interior trim, and assorted badges and emblems all around. It also benefits from a wider range of standard equipment, including a Harman Kardon audio system.
