Ram working on a small truck for South America

Ram says its newest compact pickup for South America has class-leading power output. The video here is its only official teaser so far, but we have seen spy shots before.

Browse to the end of our gallery below to see what we believe to be the new Ram truck for the Brazilian market. It does look rather compact and rocks the ‘Ram Turbo’ badge in the vid, probably implying a turbocharged engine. Unofficial reports claim it will be released with three drivetrain options – petrol turbo, diesel turbo and mixed-fuel turbo.

Rumor has it that the model is based on the same Small Wide 4x4 platform as the Jeep Compass and the Fiat Toro. There is still little official info, but we would not be surprised to see the production pickup go on sale before the end of the year.
