Ram reveals its new Rampage truck for Latin America

Ram has shared the first official photos of its upcoming pickup truck primarily targeting Latin and South American markets. The rumors were true: it is called ‘Rampage’ and will go on sale later this year.

The images prompt the conclusion that the car looks much like any other Ram, but not without distinctions. It has a typical Ram hood with prominent relief and body outlines that make it look a bit like the battery-powered 1500 Revolution. However, the radiator grille and the headlights are new, and the taillight signature resembles the American flag.

In all likelihood, the standard truck will go on sale with the 2.0-liter Hurricane turbo four-pot under the hood. The latest Jeep Wrangler gets 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW) out of this mill. Nine-speed automatic transmission and AWD are also expected, although not yet confirmed.

Ram used to put the Rampage nameplate on a small truck it produced in 1982–1984. A concept car with an experimental door design revealed in 2006 was also called that.

You may browse to the end of the gallery below for a glimpse of the cabin, which Ram promises to trim with premium materials and equip with a Uconnect 5 10.25-inch infotainment display.
