Airstream is a U.S.-based RV maker primarily popular for its aluminum-plated trailers. However, the company also has Mercedes Sprinter-based campervans in its portfolio, and is soon going to start building Ram-based ones, too, as this video teaser suggests.
The 2023 Ram ProMaster Tall Roof is never explicitly mentioned in the vid, but we still have no doubt it is that van that Airstream plans to upgrade for travel enthusiasts starting soon.
It is unclear at the moment what equipment and powertrain will be on board, but we expect the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 to be the main choice. An all-electric ProMaster conversion is unlikely at this time.
We will be learning more about the new campervan when it debuts on official terms on Tuesday, September 13. Price-wise, the company’s most affordable Sprinter campervan right now costs slightly more than $200,000.
