The Ram ProMaster commercial van competes against the likes of Ford Transit and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, but Winnebago converts it into a compact home on wheels called Solis Pocket 36B. Starting this week, the customers can opt for a new layout and an autonomous power package.
Starting with the interior, the dining area can now be reconfigured in several ways. The sofa can be turned into a car seat complete with belts to ensure the safety of two passengers. When not driving, you can unfold it into a bed.
The mini-kitchen has a stovetop, a sink and a fridge. There is even a bathroom in the back with a shower and a WC combined in a single cabin to save space.
Opting for a package called Power Kit Pro gets you a 5kWh lithium-ion battery, a power controller and other equipment necessary for spending several days out in the wild.
All pricing details remain to be revealed.
