The French announced the
start of sales of their pickup truck in Europe. Before that, the car was only
available in Latin America. Renault Alaskan is built on the basis of a new
generation Nissan Navara and, in general, is its transfaced version.
The novelty will be equipped
with a 2.3-liter turbocharger dCi, generating 160 or 190 horsepower, it will
work with a six-speed manual or seven-band automatic transmission. In the
European market will be offered a rear-wheel and four-wheel drive version with
a reduction gear and a locking rear differential.
The list of equipment
Renault Alaskan will include infotainment system with a touch screen, seven
airbags, two-zone climate control, lifting and lowering assistance systems,
electronically adjustable seats and around view system.
The novelty has already been
put into production at the factory in Barcelona. The cost of a pickup Renault
Alaskan is not yet known.
