Renault launches the City K-ZE e-SUV in China, other markets to follow

Renault has started selling its new, all-electric crossover SUV called the Сity K-ZE in China. The model will later become internationally available.

Based on the affordable Renault Kwid sold in India, the e-SUV bears a number of original stylistic traits, but remains identical to its donor in terms of size (length: 3,735 mm / 12.25 ft., height: 1,579 mm / 5,18 ft.).

The cabin is also considerably different from that of the Kwid. The dashboard is digital, the eight-inch multimedia system with Internet connectivity is new, and there is a dedicated telematics system to track the performance of the on-board electronics.

Powering the Renault City K-ZE is a modest 44-hp (32-kW) engine connected to a battery sufficient for 271 km (168.4 miles) of NEDC-rated range.

Prices start from 61,800 Chinese Yuan (approx. 8, 650 USD).
