Renault confirms plans to turn the Morphoz Concept into a production e-SUV

Renault has announced a brand-new crossover SUV stylistically reminiscent of the Morphoz Concept depicted here and technically based on the CMF EV platform co-designed with Nissan for the Nissan Ariya.

The new crossover will be marketed directly above the Zoe mini-hatchback and boast around 600 kilometers (373 miles) of all-electric range. The Zoe only has 395 km (245 miles) of battery juice, according to official specs.

Later on – likely in 2022 or thereabouts – the French carmaker intends to launch a larger-sized electric SUV series, with dimensions close to those of the current Renault Kadjar.
