Renault ushers in three Mobilize EVs

In January, Renault introduced Mobilize, a sub-brand dedicated to compact sized electric cars targeted towards delivery and car sharing services. It also showed a concept named EZ-1, which has now evolved into three Mobilize-badged production models.

The DUO is a two-seater sized close to the Citroen Ami and designed with ride-sharing use in mind. Half of the car consists of recycled materials, and 95% of it is recyclable again.

The BENTO is a cargo-carrying variant of the DUO meant for last-mile deliveries. It has a trunk compartment one cubic meter (1000 liters, or 35.3 cubic feet) large.

Those who need to carry around loads in areas where exhaust gases are prohibited – in enclosed spaces, for example, or in downtown areas – are invited to consider the HIPPO. The car has three cubic meters of space (3000 liters, or 106 cubic feet) and can carry up to 200 kilograms (441 pounds).

All EVs will ship with between one and four traction batteries holding 2.3 kilowatt-hours each, so opting for the largest battery size gives you 9.2 kWh total. Actual driving ranges remain to be announced.
