Renault to reveal Renault RS18, a new F1 racecar, on February 20th

The famous French automaker Renault announced in 2015 that it was going to build a racing team out of its staff members to participate in the Formula One championships.

It hasn’t been going well since then: not only has Renault failed to score any notable achievements on the race track, it went as far as to lose to the Red Bull team – the very same team it supplied with engines for their cars. That’s ironic, to say the least.

But Renault executives didn’t feel like admitting their defeat and instead decided to build a brand new, better F1 race car. The vehicle named Renault RS18 will be introduced to the wide audience on February 20, 2018 – simultaneously with an Alfa Romeo Sauber F1.

In a week after that, the company is going to take its vehicle to a series of test runs to fine-tune all of its units and mechanisms. The new Renault RS18 will be piloted by Renault’s Carlos Sainz and Nico Hülkenberg.
