Renault has been slowly unveiling its new crossover named Austral since last year, but the unveiling is now officially set on March 8, 2022.
The last teaser pic is a rather hyperbolized sketch; the real car may look very different from it. It is obvious that the artist tried to emphasize the wheels, the air intakes, the radiator grille, the prominent hood and the skid plate.
Once it reaches the showrooms, the Austral will replace the Kadjar model in Europe. It looks like the Megane E-Tech Electric in some aspects and runs on tech similar to that of the Nissan Qashqai. As such, it will likely only ship with part-electric powertrains.
Inside, the Austral will be trimmed with wood, imitation leather and chrome, and feature a digital dashboard along with a wireless gadget charger.
