Battle Dwarf: Renault Clio gets a power upgrade

The Renault Clio R.S. 220 Trophy is the fastest-going vehicle in the Clio family. The car ships with a 1.6-liter engine rated at 200 hp (150 kW) and 280 nm (207 lb×ft) of torque, partnered with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. It accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.6 seconds and ultimately climbs to 235 km/h (146 mph).

With its sport seats, red safety belts and the paddle shifter, its actually looks very sporty from the inside as well. Too bad its somewhat underwhelming engine prevents us from calling it a full-fledged sports car.

The Speed Buster team decided to address exactly this issue in their latest release. The company developed an engine boost program that brings its output all the way up to 293 hp (218 kW) and 383 Nm (282 lb×ft) of torque. Predictably, the car gained much in overall dynamics, but no details are available on that. At any rate, the popular subcompact vehicle just got much better.
