The Renault Clio emerged as long ago as 1990 and is alternatively known worldwide as the Lutecia, Taxi Express, or Symbol. It is an unassuming urban compact car meant to take you to work, back to home, or to the nearest supermarket. With this example, though, you could as well be heading out to war.
In a video that may give Renault car designers a heart attack, YouTuber MasterMilo replaces the car’s wheels with tank tracks. He deliberately ignores the rest of implied modifications, such as upgrading the engine, strengthening the transmission and brakes, and so on.
As you can see for yourself, the miniature ride actually manages to carry the burden with a fair amount of grace, but the clutch is obviously failing. It breaks down completely after a short while.
As is usual with such videos, the comments section is full of creative ideas. One commenter suggests using the Clio as a smoke generator now that its clutch has been blown, and another one requests a clutch disassembly video to see how it fared under the stress (not well, that’s for sure).
